Crochet Pattern Testing Success!

Skyrim Inspired Dark Brotherhood 'We Know' Crochet Tapestry

A call back to this post here: https://artofladyseshiiria.blogspot.com/2026/01/crochet-pattern-testing-ugh.html

I was working on something that I'd been sitting on for quite a while. At least ten-ish years mind you! Lol, I had been inspired to finally "do the thing" because of a friend request. Hers is a completely different game though.

That said, between hours and hours of development, pattern testing, stitch testing, tension troubleshooting, frogging, more testing, it's finally finished! If you haven't read my other post, I suggest you do because I talk about a lot in there especially stitch fiddle and chart-minder. (Not a sponsored endorsement.)

Ta-da! A Skyrim inspired Dark Brotherhood crochet tapestry!

For those not familiar with the Dark Brotherhood, it's a faction of cultist Daedric assassins in the Elder Scrolls games. My crochet was specifically inspired by Skyrim. The phrase 'We Know' is found on missives sent to the player after committing a certain type of crime. For those that haven't played the game, I don't want to put any more spoilers in the mix. Let's just say that the Night Mother and Sithis would be very proud.

    And it's pretty!

I am quite proud of how it turned out. I went to extra mile too making sure all my stray tails were sewn into the back as discreetly as possible! Here's the backside!

I like the cleaner look that intarsia gives. It feels way more professional to me than the stranded floats method. (If anyone is curious I used Premier Yarns Just Worsted, and it is soft. Also not sponsored.)

Here's what the mess kind of looked like on the back before it was finished. There was around a total of 26 tails to weave in when I was done.

Here's a close up on the fringe as I was making it.

If I can figure out how to afford it, I think I'll make another in reverse colors. I thought it would be cool to see it like a bloody hand print this time instead of the usual black. I also had to change the font to a small degree to get it to work in the overall design and be seen well.

So what do you think? Pretty cool huh? I know I'm obsessed.

    Hail Sithis!
