This is my art blog. I am an artist and I like doing traditional art, digital art, sewing, crocheting, knitting, and crafting in general. I used to cosplay and make props, but I don't really so much anymore, as it's too expensive. I also like to quilt when I can. I like to make stuff for people, it's kind of my love language... I like doing things out of charity though and not obligation.
My blog will be kind of a general arts and crafts blog with my art portfolio. You might also encounter my personal writing and stories if I post them. I guess time will tell?
I'm neurodivergent, ADD, ADHD, possible autism there.. I need to go get a diagnosis. My son is autistic and his therapists think I might be as well so... I struggle with depression, anxiety, and have ptsd c-ptsd. (I grew up in a cult and have been abused and bullied most my life. It explains some things.) I would ask for patience and forgiveness as I am constantly stumbling through life. I'm still learning and growing. I also have dyslexia and dyscalculia, haha lol omg... and I think I do pretty well trying to overcome those obstacles. Especially when it comes to special interests.
Currently as of 2026, I have recently decided to abandon social media for the most part in favor of a longer format or slow format style content. I have left places like Instagram as they've become highly toxic, inundated with slop or AI content, and have ruined my ability to create content by hijacking my attention or drowning out authentic creators that I like. We're tired of ads, and we're all tired of corporate greed, and being sold something.
While you might still find me on those platforms, I will no longer be posting to them.
I value authenticity, community, and human created content. This blog will strive to keep content high quality as much as I'm humanly able to within my meager and humble means. I am only one person after all, and I do not have the advantages that influencers of various sm platforms have. In others, this means, that photos may not always be as high quality or professional as I would like, and may not compete with influencer or corporate content, but at least the content is real.
I'm not really interested in SEO or metrics. I just wanted to be able to make friends online, share my works, and connect with people. After all art is meant to be shared and be enjoyed by people... or disturb the comfortable. It's meant as a vehicle for story telling, self-expression, entertainment, and it's not always in my opinion meant to be a political statement...
If you're one of those that thinks everything has to be political or is political, this isn't really going to be the space for you. (Not apologizing for that.) I feel injecting politics into everything is becoming too divisive, preformative, and fake, and I just want to live my life and exist in peace. If we're being honest, I don't like how the Internet has changed for the worse. Back in the 90's it was a place we could gather in exchange of ideas and communicate with people all over the world in a more healthy way than we do now. It had its problems too, but today the landscape feels more of a wild west than it ever did before. Unsafe for children and adults, and I really don't like what it's doing to our ability to relate with others, what it's doing to our empathy, or our mental health.
So hopefully, in conclusion to the above, this blog will serve as a safe space away from AI, politics, strife, and reactionary content as I strive for a peaceable place to express myself and for others to access my content.
I would like to try Patreon or Ko-fi but I am in an income bracket that may punish me for self-employment opportunities, and I'm just not ready for that and the burdens that come with it.
